What elements of games resonated with you?
I enjoyed the real-time feedback aspect of games, especially one's that involving player movement. Having some sort of continuous constraint around player actions, such as the beat in rhythm games, is also something I really enjoy as it helps them get into the flow of the game in a uniquely enjoyable way. I also enjoy mechanics that do more with less, by using the same controls to do different actions. I also started really appreciating pixel art and minimalistic art styles for this reason.
What types of games do you want to continue making? Do you enjoy linear, branching, or more puzzle dependent games?
I think I want to continue making mostly linear games, with branching segments being more of a way for the player to pick the order of events they experience as oppose to directly changing what events occur and don't. Some variety here and there is nice, but I would like most of my games to follow a branching but overall converging path. I definitely think that tightly controlled games with an emphasis on movement, mechanics, and player creativity is what I want to be making.
What should people expect when they play your games?
Game's built around fun core mechanic, usually a mash of 2 genres if I can. Usually involving some sort of rhythm as a mechanic. Expect it to be unpolished, kind of confusing, and seemingly random, but expect it to be something I'm passionate about nonetheless. Also I made a decent amount of 3d models my last semester in college so expect me to litter some of those throughout future 3d games I make because I'm proud of them.
